Day 5 - Cobh and HBC Eve

Today was another great day of fellowship with one another, preparing our hearts and minds for the task of HBC that will begin tomorrow. We spent the day at Cobh (pronounced "Cove"), which is a beautiful costal city seated on the side of a large, mountainous piece of land. The port of Cobh is famous for two reasons... (1) It is among the deepest natural harbour in the world and (2) it was the last stop for the Titanic before its famous and terrible fate on April 15th, 1912.

Tonight, as I type, we have one more group of MBF volunteers and FBCJ teammembers meeting together to make their final preparations for the big day tomorrow. We are very excited to see what God is going to do this year.

Here are our prayer requests for tonight and tomorrow...

  1. The hearts and minds of the children would be ready to receive the word of God from the teachers
  2. The teachers nerves would be calmed and that they would be able to communicate the words of God with clarity, passion, and persuasion
  3. The helpers would ready and willing to serve in any and every way possible... that they would be excited to serve the Lord this week
  4. The teachers and helpers would truly fall in love with the Lord more as they minister the words of God to the children
  5. For all the details of HBC to work out smoothly, especially for the first day
  6. That many families would consider visiting MBF as a result of their children coming to HBC this week
  7. That the FBCJ team would be flexible and ready for any challenge that comes their way
Thank you!
