Day 1-3 - Traveling, Arrival in Ireland, and Sunday Morning

First of all, thank you for all of the prayers for the team as we traveled to Ireland! We had a great time traveling together with no issues with any of the flights. As soon as we hit the ground we were off to the Cliffs of Moher. The team had a wonderful time seeing the beauty of God's handiwork and having great fellowship with each other. From there we traveled to King John's Castle in Limerick to learn about this history of that area from 922 AD with the vikings that settled in that area to the late 1600's with the siege of Limerick. We had a great, but exhausting first day!

This morning was a wonderful morning to spend with the people of Mallow Bible Fellowship (MBF). Our team led the music, taught all the Sunday school classes so all the workers could be in the main part of the service, and I preached the message out of Daniel chapter 3. God is definitely at work in the midst of the church, and they love one another dearly!

This evening we had the chance to get together with all of the volunteers from MBF that will be helping out with the Holiday Bible Club (HBC). We were able to get all the groups together with our team, go through most of the basics of assigning out various responsibilities, and begin working together for the first day of HBC. The volunteers are excited, but nervous! Some will be teaching only 1 day, while others will be teaching 2-3 days of HBC. Please be in prayer for the MBF volunteers and for our team as we do our best to encourage them in this incredible task to be co-labourers with the Lord.

Here are some things to be praying for at the moment...

  1. Safe travels as we do a little bit of sightseeing over the next 2 days
  2. For the MBF teachers and helpers as they prepare for their lessons and responsibilities
  3. For the FBCJ team to help the MBF teachers and helpers be more equipped to do the work of the ministry during HBC
Enjoy some pictures!
